Witness the beauty of the annual salmon run at Stoney Creek! This event offers a unique opportunity to observe these remarkable fish in an urban setting as they make their way upstream to spawn. The tour will be led by a young streamkeeper who will talk about the restoration efforts and challenges that salmon face in an urban environment.

• Location: Stoney Creek – meeting point at Oakdale Park– corner of North Road and Jefferson Avenue in Coquitlam. (Near SFU at the base of Burnaby Mountain)
The creek is easy to access by transit (500 metres from the Burquitlam Skytrain station) and there is plenty of parking. The path along which we will walk is a flat gravel path that runs alongside the creek and is readily accessible to all. We will finish the walk with hot…
